Gasoline up by P0.90/L this week

OIL COMPANIES are raising the prices of gasoline products this week by P0.90 per liter (/L), while keeping unchanged those of diesel and kerosene. The price adjustment takes effect at 6:00 a.m. today, March 12, for most of the oil firms that sent their advisories of as Monday afternoon. The prices follow the direction of trading in the international market. This week’s increase is the fifth straight week of price hikes for gasoline products, which rose by P1.45/L during the last week of February. So far this year, gasoline prices were cut only once — in the first week of February. Last week, the prices of gasoline products were up by P0.10/L, while those of diesel and kerosene declined by P0.10 and P0.35, respectively. — Victor V. Saulon
