CENTURY Properties Group, Inc. (CPG) is working with the government to operate a new coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) testing facility in Bulacan.

The listed property firm told the stock exchange Wednesday it is “contributing significantly” in constructing and operating the mega testing facility at Philippine Arena.

The project is led by the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and the Department of Health.

“We recognize BCDA for its valuable efforts and quick action in rolling out these four mega testing facilities… It is in the same spirit of bayanihan that we commit our full support to this cause,”

CPG Executive Chairman Jose E.B. Antonio said in a statement.

The facility is the official swabbing center in the north for the government’s “Test, Trace, and Treat” project, which is led by BCDA President Vivencio B. Dizon.

The testing center has six healthcare station tents with 96 test booths, totaling a maximum capacity of 1,500 tests every day. The government is targeting to do 30,000 COVID-19 tests daily by the end of the month.

“We, in government, are grateful for the huge support and active participation of our private partners in responding to the COVID-19 crisis. (CPG) has largely contributed in building up the country’s testing capacity by providing healthcare stations and testing booths inside the Philippine Arena mega swabbing center,” Mr. Dizon said.

Aside from the Philippine Arena facility, other mega swabbing centers are located at the Palacio de Maynila, Enderun Tent and Mall of Asia Arena.
