Globe Telecom unveils new roaming service

GLOBE TELECOM, Inc. launched on Friday an unlimited data roaming plan that offers a flat rate across 11 territories in the Asia-Pacific region.

In a statement, the company said it will be offering the new service Bridge DataRoamUnlimited, amid the "rising popularity of unlimited mobile data roaming for travelers visiting the Asia-Pacific region."

"Unparalleled in the market, the plan offers unlimited data roaming at a one-flat rate across all 11 Bridge Alliance member networks such as Bharti Airtel Ltd. in India, Advanced Info Service Public Co. Ltd. in Thailand, CSL Ltd. in Hong Kong, Macao Telecommunications Company in Macau, Globe Telecom, Inc., Maxis Communications Bhd. in Malaysia, SingTel Mobile Singapore Pte. Ltd. in Singapore, SingTel Optus Pty Ltd. in Australia, SK Telecom Co., Ltd. in South Korea, Taiwan Mobile Co. Ltd., and PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk," it said.

"Depending on their length of stay in a selected country, Globe Telecom customers can choose a specific plan that fits their needs: $10 for 1 day, $27 for 3 days and $40 for 5 days," Globe Telecom added.

"Our customers are saved from the hassle of tracking their data roaming use without having to worry about sudden charges in their phone bills and our subscribers who are constantly on travel can continuously enjoy their connections with their loved ones at affordable flat rates, their way," Ernest L.
