NEDA to release update on PDP

Posted on December 23, 2013

THE NATIONAL Economic Development Authority (NEDA) is expected to release before the end of this month a type of progress report on the Philippine Development Plan (PDP), a Cabinet official yesterday said.

“This month, before the end of the year, NEDA will release what they call the results matrix,” Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Herminio “Sonny” B. Coloma, Jr. told an interview over state-run dzRB.

“This the scorecard of the government in implementing the Philippine Development Plan,” Mr. Coloma said.

The Palace official said the review covers the years 2011 to 2013.

Mr. Coloma said the results matrix is significant because it will guide the government on which programs are completed or on-going and on focusing on “low-hanging fruits.”

Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Arsenio M. Balisacan, concurrent NEDA Director-General, clarified: “NEDA prepares the results matrix for PDP, but report on performance of government based on the matrix comes from DBM (Department of Budget and Management)/OP (Office of the President).”
