Posted on February 13, 2013

IP Converge Data Services, Inc., which a unit of Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. acquired in October last year, expects to exceed this year 2012’s double-digit revenue growth on an expanded client base, a top company official said yesterday.

“From 2011 to 2012, I think our revenues grew by around 28%,” Reynaldo R. Huergas, the company’s president, told reporters on the sidelines of its partnership ceremonies with security software firm Symantec Corp. in Makati City.

“We hope to sustain or even surpass that [growth],” he added, noting that revenues last year stood at “around P700 million.”

“Most of our clients are in content distribution… We are looking at expanding our presence in the financial sector like banks and… in the BPO (business process outsourcing) sector.”

IP Converge provides managed data services and business solutions to about 280 enterprises Mr. Huergas said.
