Responsibilities:

- Design and maintain programs to embed BusinessWorld as the top-of-mind provider of business news and content
- Explore, identify, and follow through new brand-building ideas
- EVENTS
- Lead and organize high-scale fora – online and onsite
- In charge of the overall production of BusinessWorld Insights (weekly webinar)
- Research and invite thought leaders for every event
- Create concept brief for creative requirements
- Plan and execute media campaigns and timelines for event promotions
- COMMUNICATIONS
- Formulate communication plans for special projects including social media, print, online and through emailers
- Manage and develop the current BusinessWorld email database
- PARTNERSHIPS
- Seek opportunities for business development outside of the BusinessWorld product and services portfolio
- PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
- Design and maintain programs to embed BusinessWorld as the top-of-mind provider of business news and content
- Explore, identify, and follow through new brand-building ideas
- BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
- Support the sales team in generating leads for advertising and sponsorships
Perform other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
- With a bachelor’s degree in business administration, entrepreneurship, communications, or equivalent
- Preferably with at least 2 years of experience in Marketing, Communications, Events, Advertising, or any related field
- With proven excellent communication skills
- With a can-do attitude and a risk-taker
- Keen to details and with an eye for the latest trend
- With good presentation skills and adeptness with Microsoft office software
- Basic knowledge in photo and video editing is an advantage

RESEARCHER
Basic Functions and Responsibilities:
The researcher is responsible for the collection and analysis of required statistical facts and figures for the regular and special reports published in the BusinessWorld newspaper related publications. The Researcher’s functions include:

- Gathering timely and relevant data from sources and writing economic indicators.
- Covering official release government/non-government statistical data as well as conduct interviews with industry sources and analysts to ascertain development and trends.
- Working on quarterly banking reports and other industry reports, gathering of data, interviewing sources and writing articles.
- Working on Top 1000 Corporations of the Philippines magazine
- Gather financial statements of top 1,500 corporations based on the SEC and BusinessWorld rankings for the previous year. Send letters and attached sheets to the companies
- Print/Photocopy financial statements
- Proofread all figures
- Conduct interviews and write articles
- Work on Corporate Profiles
- Updating relevant data for BusinessWorld Research databank.
- Supplying research requirements of the Editorial Department.
- Supplying research requirements of Data on Demand clients
- All other tasks assigned by the Research Head
- Serving as reliever for reporters in covering certain beats.
Requirements:
- Must possess a Bachelor’s/College Degree preferably in Economics, Finance or any related field.
- Has knowledge in data analysis, interpretation and presentation.
- Has writing experience in school or any publication (an advantage for fresh graduates)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literate particularly on MS Word and Excel.
- Willing to work long hours including weekends and holidays
MULTIMEDIA REPORTER
Responsibilities:
- Start the day reading all newspapers, news sites, journals, blogs and other sources relevant to one’s field of coverage;
- Update one’s self daily on issues relevant to one’s field of coverage;
- Stay in close contact with supervisor throughout the day;
- Constantly update one’s self on ways to improve delivery of news, both in terms of technique and technologies;
- Build and maintain a network of sources, e.g. officials, experts and other sources;
- Deliver all output — field intelligence, daily articles and special reports — on time.
Skills/Requirements:
- least an undergraduate degree in any course;
- excellent command of English in both oral and written form;
- an inquisitive, analytical mind;
- as well as be healthy enough to work under the pressure of daily deadlines and rapidly changing conditions in the field.

MULTIMEDIA ARTIST
DESCRIPTION:
Multimedia artists use multiple technologies and artistic methods to create special effects, characters or scenes in film, advertisements, website design, animation or video games. Multimedia artists use different technologies and elements like typography, images, video, audio, and music to create unique work.
The Multimedia Artist for BusinessWorld’s Digital Team is expected to contribute and/or produce digital media content for all online assets of BusinessWorld.
