PHL auto group to host international meet
AUTOMOBILE Association of the Philippines (AAP) announced it would host this year’s Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) Sport Conference that’s slated on June 4-6 in Manila.
Paris-based FIA is the world’s motor sports governing body for vehicles with four wheels. AAP said the group will gather around 400 delegates coming from national sporting authorities and mobility clubs of 245 organizations in 143 countries.
AAP said the conference carries the theme “Empowering the Future: Unlocking Motor Sport’s Potential.” It will be preceded by the FIA Sport Regional Congress on June 3, while the World Motor Sport Conference is scheduled on June 7.
Discussions will cover topics such as creating a motor sport culture in new markets, AAP said, noting that it would be the first time the conference will be held in Asia. The group added attractions at the event will include the MotorEx showcase of future trends and opportunities in motor sports, as well as activities like drifting, gymkhana, slalom, e-karting and the FIA-certified online Gran Turismo Asian Regional Finals Championship.
Hyundai PHL distributor tops in satisfaction
PHILIPPINE distributor Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) said it was voted best in customer satisfaction after-sales service among the brand’s Asia-Pacific network.
HARI said its award — presented at the recent Hyundai Asia Pacific, Africa and Middle East Service Conference held in Singapore — follows on its second spot ranking in the 2017 J.D. Power Philippines Customer Service Index Study where the company “stood out” in the areas of Service Quality and Service Facility.
HARI said the J.D. Power Study surveyed new vehicle owners who availed of maintenance or repair work at authorized dealerships between August 2016 and May 2017.
It attributed its citations to its enhanced service technician training program, as well as to the Fast Track Service that guarantees preventive maintenance works can be performed in only 30 minutes.
