Honda extends subsidy on parts
FOLLOWING the recent calamity brought by typhoon Maring and the southwest monsoon, Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) is extending substantial discounts on parts and services to help ease the burden of its valued customers. For Honda vehicles that have been affected, HCPI is extending a 20% discount on electronic parts, 10% on flood-related parts and 10% on labor. The major electronic parts covered by the 20% subsidy are the electronic control unit, air-con, starter motor, throttle body, drive-by-wire accelerator pedal, radiator and cooling fan motor, and the supplemental restraint system unit. For other parts, customers may consult with Honda service advisors to avail of the 10% discount. Bosch sets up car service center in Davao
BOSCH earlier this month inaugurated the Extramile Bosch Service Center in Panabo City to cater to the evolving automotive care needs of Davaoeños. Located at Km. 31 National Highway in Panabo, Davao del Norte, the service center will deliver Bosch’s extensive workshop equipment, top-of-the-line repair services and product portfolio of premier car parts to local vehicle owners and motorists. The opening of the center also enables skills-building and knowledge transfer, giving Davao-based car mechanics and technicians world-class capabilities through Bosch training and certification. Bosch currently has 25 accredited workshops nationwide that offer mechanical vehicle repairs and provide expert, cross-brand services in the field of automotive electrical systems.

Volvo cited for effective dealer experience
VOLVO CARS of North America (VCNA) ranked first among luxury brands at having dealerships that are effective at influencing the purchase, according to Foresight Research’s 2013 Dealership Report. Foresight Research provides this yearly report as a comprehensive evaluation of current dealership experiences, buyer expectations, selection criteria and overall purchase influence versus all other marketing efforts. “Everything we do at Volvo is designed around the customer, from product development to the dealer experience,” said Greg Swetoha, executive vice-president, sales operations and network development, VCNA. Isuzu adds to AAI Worldwide Logistics’ fleet
ISUZU Philippines Corp. (IPC) has delivered 22 brand-new units of N-Series trucks to AAI Worldwide Logistics. The delivery boosts the number of Isuzu vehicles that AAI Worldwide uses in its business, which covers cargo handling; packing and crating; domestic movement, surface, sea and air freightage; storage and warehousing; distribution; and business process outsourcing, among others. The company already had 75 Isuzu trucks, or a full 70% of its fleet of vehicles, prior to the acquisition.
